Comfort Steps Podiatry is a vibrant podiatry clinic servicing the Barossa and surrounds, Port Adelaide, Kilkenny and Warradale. The Comfort Steps Podiatry team aim to help you with any foot or leg concerns by providing you with the most current evidence based treatment knowledge. Meet The Team

Thuy Tran
Principle Podiatrist / Proprietor
Thuy began practising as a Podiatrist in 2001 and has enjoyed working in public and private sectors in both rural and urban areas. Thuy is passionate about helping people and through Podiatry Thuy has helped restore comfort back to many of our patient’s steps. Thuy has strong interest in geriatric Podiatry, diabetic foot care and manual therapy techniques including mobilisation, manipulation and dry needling. Thuy enjoys working with people of different ethnic background. Being of Vietnamese heritage Thuy has worked closely with many people in the Vietnamese Community to establish better foot health. When not consulting, Thuy loves being outdoor and camping with family and friends.

Kate Schmidt
Podiatrist
Kate graduated from the Bachelor of Podiatry in 2011 and has worked in both public and private podiatry settings since. Kate has a strong passion for the diabetic foot and wound care, paediatric foot health, lower limb dysfunction/injuries and general foot health. When Kate is not in the podiatry clinic, she enjoys keeping her-self active at the gym, playing a variety of sports and enjoying family activities.

Josh Nankervis
Podiatrist
Josh Nankervis is a podiatrist with 15 years experience in private practices across South Australia, Victoria and Queensland. Josh grew up in the southern hills of Adelaide and graduated from the University of South Australia in 2002. Josh originally became interested in podiatry after having ongoing issues with his own feet as a sport loving teenager. Josh enjoys treating people from all walks of life and helping them find solutions to their problems. He has a special interest in biomechanics and orthotic therapy. Outside of work Josh loves keeping fit, photography and travelling to exotic locations. A dog lover and a passionate supporter of the Sydney Swans. Josh looks forward to helping you attain happy and healthy feet.

Vivian Teng
Podiatrist
Vivian graduated in 2018. Vivian’s interests in podiatry lie strongly within diabetes related foot care, general podiatric nail and dermatological management, biomechanics and orthotic therapy. Outside of work Vivian enjoys spending time with family and travelling. Vivian is also passionate about food and creativity within arts and crafts

Mindy Chang
Podiatrist
Mindy graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Newcastle and received the Clinical Cadetship Award for her dedication. Her training included intensive experience in the New South Wales public health system, with a focus on high-risk foot clinics, wound care, and multidisciplinary limb salvage. With a prior Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and experience as the Leader of Physiotherapist Interns in Taiwan, she brings a unique combination of skills in orthopaedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and stroke recovery, enabling her to address foot and lower-limb conditions with a holistic approach to movement. In addition to her clinical degrees, as a Personal Physiotherapist, she has trained professional cyclists and professional golfers. Her expertise in elite performance enables her to deliver advanced biomechanical and rehabilitation plans for athletes and active individuals alike. Mindy is deeply committed to giving back; she has volunteered twice at the APodA Conferences and provided essential foot health screenings for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities during NAIDOC Week. Additionally, she holds certifications in ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach, Mental Health First Aid and Anti-Doping Fundamentals, reflecting her comprehensive approach to patient wellbeing. Beyond the clinic before her healthcare career, Mindy was a professional cyclist for Taiwan for over a decade. She continues to pursue her passion for sports as a dedicated triathlete and holiday golfer. Now a resident of Adelaide, she enjoys exploring Australia through camping when she isn’t training or in the clinic.
